In January of 2009, Shaon Berry provided the United States Marine Corps the opportunity of a lifetime when he presented an idea thought up in his living room called The Semper Fi Bowl. His plan and sponsorship presentation to the Marines was about how best to influence a nation of young role models with the selection and participation of this football contest. In creating this game, Shaon became the first ever African American Bowl Game founder of a nationally televised high school sporting event.
